Getting here from the airport
From Bari airport (BRI): the easiest is a taxi or rental car (45 min). By public transport, take bus/train to Bari Centrale and then the regional train to Polignano (30 min).
Getting here from the station
From Polignano station, walk up Via Martiri di Dogali toward the historic centre; it’s about a 10‑minute uphill walk. We’ll meet you at Piazza San Benedetto.
Parking
Cars are not allowed in the historic centre. Park at Parcheggio Sant'Antonio or in the blue zones on Via San Vito and walk down (8–10 min). It fills up quickly in summer.

Extra keys
The second set is in the ceramic bowl in the kitchen. The small key opens the terrace storage where we keep the umbrellas.
WiFi
Network: Dimoria_SulMare. Works well throughout the house; on the terrace the signal may be a bit weaker because of the stone walls.
Heating and air conditioning
Air‑conditioning (cool/heat) in the living room and bedrooms. Remote is in the nightstand; turn it off when you leave to save energy.
Hot water
Electric boiler: if you plan several showers in a row, switch it on half an hour before using the kitchen switch.
Washer or dryer
Washing machine in the terrace storage. Rope drying rack is on the same terrace, perfect for the afternoon sun.
TV and streaming
Smart TV with Netflix and Prime Video in the living room. Italian DTT broadcast also works.
Kitchen
Fully equipped kitchen with moka coffee maker, oven and everything to cook pasta and fish. We provide Puglian olive oil, salt and oregano. The fruit shop and fish market are 3 min away.
Extra towels
Extra bath towels are in the bedroom closet. The large striped towels are beach towels—use them for the cove.
Terrace or garden
The rooftop terrace is the highlight: sea views, dinner table and two sun loungers. Perfect for sunset aperitifs.
Barbecue
There is a small charcoal grill on the terrace. Charcoal is in the storage; clean the grill and fully extinguish the embers (watch the wind).
Quiet hours
Quiet hours: 23:00–08:00. In the historic centre voices echo off the walls; keep the volume down on the terrace at night.
Smoking area
No smoking inside. You may smoke on the terrace using the ashtray; never toss cigarette butts on the street or into the sea.
Neighbors
The neighbours are very friendly locals. A "buongiorno" opens all doors; they’ll give you the best recommendations.

Where to leave trash (building bins, street)
In the historic centre waste collection is door‑to‑door (raccolta differenziata): leave the bag outside; there are no street bins.
Waste sorting system
Separate: organic (wet), plastic/metal, paper, glass and residual (dry). Labeled bins are in the kitchen.
Collection day or schedule
Each fraction has its own day (schedule on the fridge). Take the bag out the night before, after 21:00, by the door. If you’re unsure, leave it in the terrace bin and we’ll take it out.
What to do before leaving (windows, lights, AC)
Before leaving: turn off the air‑conditioning and boiler, lower the blinds, and leave the beach towels on the terrace. Put dishes in the dishwasher.
Where to leave the keys
Return both sets to the key box (code 7042) and let us know via WhatsApp. If you prefer, we can meet at Piazza San Benedetto.
Luggage after checkout
If your departure is late, we can store your luggage until mid‑afternoon. The station also has luggage storage.
Emergency contacts
Emergencies 112. Coast guard 1530. Our 24‑hour contact: +39 351 123 4567.
Water shut-off valve
The water shut‑off valve is in the terrace storage; the electrical panel is next to the front door.
Nearest hospital or ER
The main hospital is in Monopoli (10 min by car). Polignano’s medical guard handles minor emergencies at night and on holidays.

Frequently asked

Where can I swim?
The town’s cove is Lama Monachile (with stairs and rocks). For sand, go to Cala San Giovanni or the beaches of Monopoli. Bring water shoes: there are stones.
Do I need a car?
For the town and the beach, no—you can walk everywhere. For trips around Valle d'Itria (Alberobello, Castellana) a car is very handy.
Do I need to reserve for dinner?
In summer, yes, especially on weekends. Ask us to make a reservation a day in advance; we know the owners of several places.

Enjoy Polignano a Mare.
